Game information

Nuts: Color Workshop is a logic puzzle about putting colourful hardware in order. Each board starts with mixed nuts stacked on bolts. Separate the colours by moving the top pieces, uncovering the nuts you need and keeping enough space for the next move. Completed puzzles earn workshop coins and stars, while a small garden gradually changes as you restore it.

How to play Nuts: Color Workshop

Open an available level and inspect the bolts before moving anything. Select a top nut, then choose its destination. You can place it on an empty bolt or on a bolt whose top nut matches its colour. A bolt holds up to four nuts. A move transfers the adjacent top group of the same colour, limited by the space on the destination bolt. Pieces of other colours underneath stay where they are.

Finish the level by filling every occupied bolt with four nuts of the same colour. Spare bolts may remain empty. Every starting board has two empty bolts that can hold pieces temporarily. As more colours enter the puzzles, those spaces become increasingly useful. Reaching a buried nut means finding somewhere for the pieces above it first, so a good move should help more than the nut currently in your hand.

120 levels and hidden colours

The workshop contains 120 levels and gradually introduces up to ten colours. Unlock puzzles in order or revisit completed ones to try a cleaner solution. Every fifth level hides the colours of lower nuts until the covering piece moves away. The next nut is then revealed, giving you new information to plan around. Keep flexible storage space on these boards instead of assuming what an unseen piece will be.

Undo, hints and spare bolts

A new level begins with seven undo uses. Undo restores the previous arrangement and reduces the move counter, but its remaining uses are limited. Restart returns the current puzzle to its original layout while keeping unlocked levels and rewards already earned.

A hint highlights two bolts for a useful next transfer. If the game cannot find a solution from the current position, it does not spend the hint. You can also use a spare-bolt charge to add an empty bolt to the board. Up to two additional bolts are allowed in one attempt, and their inventory is separate from your hints. The workshop offers three hints for 30 coins or one spare-bolt charge for 60 coins.

Coins, stars and workshop chests

Completing a level for the first time gives you 30 coins and one star. The first completion of every fifth level also opens a chest containing a bolt charge, a hint and a wheel token. Spend wheel tokens on the workshop wheel to receive coins or more helper supplies. These resources belong to the game's own workshop.

Replaying a completed puzzle can improve your record without paying the same reward again. The game keeps your best result for each solved level, preferring fewer moves and then a shorter time when the move totals match. The time display records how long an attempt takes, making it easier to compare different solutions to the same arrangement.

Restore the garden and unlock new looks

Use stars on six garden improvements: clear the path, add a bench, plant flowers, repair the fountain, grow an unusual tree and switch on the evening lights. Some restoration stages unlock pearl, candy and cosmic nut designs. Pick an unlocked design from the collection and continue solving the same puzzles with a different appearance for the pieces.

Tips

  • Try to keep one empty bolt available for temporary storage. Filling your last free space can leave several useful colours trapped underneath other pieces.
  • Look for nuts that block multiple matching pieces below them. Removing that obstacle is often more productive than an unrelated transfer.
  • On hidden-colour boards, reveal the next nut before committing to a long sequence that depends on its colour.
  • Undo an unhelpful move while its previous arrangement is still available. Add a bolt when storage space is the actual problem, rather than spending a charge without a plan.
