Game information
Monster Tide 3D is a survival arcade game set in a city that is gradually swallowed by water. You control a small monster, eat objects to grow and find a safe route around larger rivals. There are 24 monsters in the arena, and each battle lasts up to three minutes. The last survivor wins; if time runs out with several survivors, their mass determines the remaining places.
How to play Monster Tide 3D
Choose Classic Battle or Daily Challenge in the main menu, then select Play. Your monster starts small, so the nearest house is beyond its reach. Begin with flowers and lamps, then move on to trees and benches. Eating happens automatically when you get close enough to an object your monster can consume. There is no separate bite button to keep pressing.
As your mass increases, cars, kiosks, houses and towers become available. Larger objects take several bites, so eating a building requires a brief stop. The growth hint at the bottom of the screen tells you what is currently on the menu. Your mass, the timer and the number of survivors show how the battle is developing.
Plan a route rather than staying in one district until the last second. Early on, the small objects near your starting position are useful. Later, look for a chain of edible targets that also takes you towards the safe centre of the city.
The tide and other monsters
Every 25 seconds, the tide takes another part of the city. A red warning area appears five seconds before the water advances. Leave it early: a few remaining flowers are not worth losing the battle. Staying in the water too long eliminates your monster. Six tides gradually reduce the arena to a small central square.
Your rivals are growing too. A sufficiently larger monster can eat a smaller one on contact, making an encounter with the leader more dangerous than missing a snack. A tiny size advantage is not enough to guarantee a successful attack: there must be a clear difference in mass. Check nearby rivals and the leaders list before committing to a chase.
Dash gives you a short burst of speed, followed by a cooldown. Use it to escape the next flooded area, break away from a pursuer or reach an unclaimed target. Holding the action continuously does not produce repeated boosts; another dash becomes available after it recharges.
Monsters, eggs and upgrades
Your own completed battle earns coins and trophies when you actively take part. Placement affects the reward, while consumed objects contribute additional in-game loot. Simply waiting without moving does not count as participating in the battle.
The collection contains 16 monsters across four rarities. Their appearances and traits differ: some have advantages in growth, speed, bite reach, dash recovery or resilience. Each has three colour choices. Eggs provide new characters or copies of monsters you have already discovered.
There are three egg slots. Common, rare and epic eggs cost 200, 600 and 1,500 earned coins, with waiting times of one, three and ten minutes respectively. Their timers keep running while you are away. Open an egg when it is ready, or spend game coins to speed it up. Duplicate copies and coins are used together to upgrade a monster, up to level five.
The Trophy Road awards an egg for every 100 trophies, alternating rare and common eggs. If all slots are occupied, a road reward waits for space to become available. This makes opening ready eggs between battles useful for keeping your collection moving.
Daily challenge, quests and saving
The daily challenge offers three attempts in that day's city, with the same layout for each attempt. Your best result is recorded, and an attempt is spent when you start. This is a personal daily record; the game does not show a separate worldwide leaderboard of all visitors.
Daily quests ask you to survive six tides in total, finish in the top five once and reach 2,500 mass in a single battle. Claim completed rewards in the Quests menu. Claiming all three also earns a rare egg. The day changes at 00:00 UTC.
Invite a friend to play lets accepted friends join the same arena, with up to eight real participants including the room owner. Local rivals fill the remaining places. Your coins, collection and completed results are saved to your account; guest progress is kept separately on the device. An unfinished battle cannot be resumed after leaving.
Tips
- Link together targets that match your current size. Waiting beside an oversized building will not make you grow.
- Keep an escape route towards the centre. Avoid starting a long meal in a district that is about to flood.
- Save your dash when a larger rival is nearby or the next tide is approaching.
- Open ready eggs between battles so their slots are available for the next rewards.
