Game information
Dawn Kingdoms 3D is a real-time strategy game about building a settlement, organizing its economy and commanding an army across a three-dimensional map. Workers deliver gold and lumber, buildings unlock soldiers and research, and your hero earns experience in battle. Follow a twelve-chapter campaign, fight a standalone skirmish or keep developing a kingdom without a final victory screen.
How to play Dawn Kingdoms 3D
- Choose a mode and difficulty. You begin with a town hall, workers, a small force and a hero.
- Divide workers between gold and lumber. Resources enter your stockpile after being delivered to a suitable building.
- Build farms and barracks. Watch your food capacity so there is room for reinforcements.
- Explore, pursue the chapter objective and improve your town hall. Keep your economy protected.
- Assemble a suitable force and advance. Orders can target a single unit or a selected group.
Economy and settlement development
Gold pays for workers, troops, buildings and hero purchases. Lumber supports construction, research and more advanced units. Workers must travel, gather and return, so distance matters. The town hall accepts both resources; a lumber mill shortens the journey for woodcutters.
Farms expand army capacity, with a kingdom-wide limit of 100 food. Upkeep also matters: gold income remains at its full rate through 50 occupied food, falls to 70% above 50 and to 40% above 80. A larger force helps in battle but slows economic growth.
Your town hall has three tiers. Advancing unlocks stables, siege equipment, stronger troops and further research. The forge, mill and shrine support different army specializations. Training and research take time. Select a building to queue several tasks or cancel an unnecessary purchase.
Mines and trees are finite. Scout new deposits and expand your settlement rather than relying on the starting area forever. At tier three, trade and forestry provide additional income sources, helping a long-running kingdom continue after nearby resources have been used.
Army, exploration and orders
Mix guards, rangers, knights, mages, healers, siege engines and heavy fighters. Melee units need support, ranged troops need protection, and slow siege engines need a safe approach. Healers use mana, so regrouping can be more effective than constantly sending the whole army forward.
Fog covers unexplored territory. Previously explored locations remain mapped, but enemies appear only where your forces currently have vision. The minimap helps track movement routes and return quickly to your settlement.
Available orders include moving, attacking a selected target, attack-moving, holding position, stopping and patrolling. Save control groups and queue orders to organize several actions. The enemy develops its own base, gathers resources, recruits troops and sends attacking forces.
Hero, items and campaign
Your hero can reach level ten. Experience provides points for four skill paths covering offensive spells, healing and support. The powerful final ability requires sufficient hero level. Mana and cooldowns limit ability use.
The hero has six item slots. Neutral camps and chests provide loot, while your own shop sells additional equipment. Gear improves attributes, potions restore health or mana, and a scroll helps return to the town hall. A fallen hero can be revived at a shrine.
Campaign chapters unlock in sequence. Objectives include establishing a base, clearing camps, defending a position, collecting relics, escorting an ally and attacking fortifications. A standalone skirmish ends with the destruction of the enemy hall. In Kingdom mode, defeating an enemy base starts the next stage of the struggle while your settlement keeps developing.
Saves and friends
Guests keep their campaign on the device. Signed-in players store their personal campaign and unfinished kingdom in their account. Up to eight friends can control one kingdom with a shared economy and army, each with a private hero. The host's campaign and a visitor's personal save remain separate: visiting a friend does not replace your own kingdom.
Tips
- Divide workers between gold and lumber; a wood shortage can halt construction and research.
- Build farms before reaching the cap, and keep capacity available for reinforcements.
- Scout crossings and approach routes before committing siege engines.
- Withdraw an injured hero while healing or an item can still save them.
- Research improvements that support the troops you actually use.
