Game information
War of Eras 3D is a strategy game built around an automatic battle between two bases. Develop your civilization, recruit troops and defend your base on a single lane. Clubs and dinosaurs eventually give way to swords, cannons, tanks and futuristic machines. Your objective is to destroy the enemy base before your own falls.
How to play War of Eras 3D
Choose one of four difficulty settings and select Start battle. Continue battle restores an unfinished personal match when you have one saved. You begin in the prehistoric era with gold, experience and a small selection of troops.
- Open Army and order your first units. Recruitment costs gold immediately, and the training queue produces units in order.
- Let them march and fight automatically. Choose reinforcements and manage spending.
- Earn gold and experience by defeating enemies. Spend gold on troops, defenses and research; reserve experience for evolution or special attacks.
- Watch both base health bars. Destroying the enemy base wins the match in any era: reaching the future is optional.
Four classes and ten army slots
The main classes are support, infantry, anti-armor and armor. Their advantage cycle is support → anti-armor → armor → infantry → support. Each class gains a damage advantage against the next. This is not an automatic victory: health, range, research and numbers still matter.
Each side has 10 population slots, including units waiting in the training queue. Assault dinosaurs, tanks and Titan’s Wrath use two slots each; most other units use one. A full queue can prevent an urgent counter from entering production. Cancel an order before its unit reaches the battlefield to recover its recruitment cost.
Seven eras of development
The battle spans the prehistoric, Spartan, Egyptian, medieval, Renaissance, modern and future eras, with 29 troop types in total. Some powerful units require a specific unlock, such as the dinosaur pen, black powder or factory.
Evolution costs experience. The enemy develops independently, so opposing armies may belong to different eras. Existing troops and installed turrets remain after you evolve. Your base gains maximum health, but its previous damage is preserved; advancing does not erase the need for a defense.
The Research tab contains 18 research categories, covering unit unlocks, war spoils, class improvements and turret upgrades. Some have multiple levels. Health improvements apply when new troops are trained, making them a useful purchase before committing to a large reinforcement queue.
Defense towers and special attacks
Expand the defense tower through four tiers, each providing a turret slot. There are 17 turret types across the eras, from bone catapults and crossbows to rocket launchers and plasma cannons. Clear an occupied slot before fitting a replacement. Selling a turret returns half its purchase price.
Every era also has a special attack, including meteor showers, arrow storms and air strikes. Specials consume experience and have a 60-second recharge. They strike enemy troops and cannot damage the enemy base. Using one to stop a dangerous push also delays the experience you can spend on evolution.
Personal progress and friends
Signed-in players keep their unfinished personal battle and results in their account. Guest progress is stored separately on the current device. A new battle replaces the unfinished match but retains personal statistics.
Invite a friend to play brings accepted friends into a room of up to eight participants, including the owner. You command one shared army against the computer opponent. Visiting a friend’s battle does not replace your separate personal match; My battle takes you back to it.
Tips
- Keep room for a response. A free population slot can be more valuable than another unit that does not counter the incoming army.
- Defend while developing. A useful turret can hold the approach while you save experience for the next era.
- Research before reinforcing. Buy health upgrades before ordering the troops that should benefit from them.
- Take an available victory. If the enemy defense has collapsed, strengthen your push instead of waiting for the final era.
