Game information
Turbo Karts is a 3D circuit racer built around drifting, boosts and items. Steer your kart around corners and reach the finish ahead of the field. Acceleration is automatic, leaving you to concentrate on steering, your nitro supply and overtaking opportunities. Race on Azure Coast, Amber Canyon and Neon Stadium.
Start without registering, or sign in and invite friends onto the same track. A room holds up to eight real players, including its host. Local rivals fill the remaining places, so you do not need a full group to start a normal race.
How to play Turbo Karts
- Choose a quick race, career event or time trial. In a quick race, select the track, lap count and number of racers, then decide whether to enable items.
- Check your selected kart in the garage and start the race. After the countdown, steer along the road; there is no need to hold an accelerator.
- Carry speed through corners to charge nitro and collect question-mark crates. The minimap shows the circuit.
- Watch your position, laps and time. Use an item to support an overtake or protect your kart, and keep a boost ready for a clear stretch.
- Reach the finish and check the results. Spend the coins earned from completed races on another kart or upgrades.
Tracks and race modes
Azure Coast has flowing corners and palm-lined sections. Amber Canyon adds changing elevation, with rocky scenery marking the bends ahead. Neon Stadium outlines its night-time route with bright barriers and buildings. Each circuit forms a complete loop: winning a race requires finishing the selected number of full laps.
Quick races offer one, two, three or five laps and two to eight racers. Career contains nine events of increasing difficulty. Finish in the top three to earn a medal and unlock the next event. Time trial gives you one lap without items to improve your personal best. Friends in the room stay on track, each pursuing a personal time.
Drifting and nitro
Steering through a corner at sufficient speed automatically starts a drift. Sliding charges the nitro gauge, and leaving a sustained drift gives you a short burst of speed. You can spend stored nitro once the gauge holds at least a quarter charge. Each activation uses 25% of the supply.
Boosting helps with overtakes on a straight, but it cannot rescue every poor line. Going onto the shoulder slows the kart, so braking before a tight bend can be more effective than forcing your way through. If you get stuck or leave the route, the return-to-track action places you at a saved checkpoint.
Six items
A crate supplies one item, which stays in your inventory until used. Empty that slot before collecting another.
- Rocket chases a rival ahead and disrupts their pace on impact.
- Bomb travels forward and explodes after a delay, catching nearby karts.
- Slippery slick stays behind your kart and briefly slows a following driver.
- Shield blocks one dangerous hit; an unused shield expires after six seconds.
- Turbo provides extra acceleration without consuming stored nitro.
- Pulse disrupts opponents close to your kart.
Hits can spin or slow a racer, but they do not eliminate anyone from the event. Recover your line and continue competing for position.
Garage, records and saving
The garage has six karts with different performance figures and eight available paint colours. Each purchased kart offers five upgrade levels for speed, acceleration and handling. Extra speed helps most when you can keep a clean line.
Race coins belong to this game's garage and are earned through your own participation in completed events. Records show your best laps, career medals, wins and other personal statistics. Guest garage progress and an unfinished solo race are stored on the device. When signed in, your personal garage, progression, statistics and settings are saved to your account.
Tips
- Read the corner before boosting. Set up a clean exit onto a straight, then spend your nitro.
- Leave room to finish a drift. A wide arc that stays off the grass preserves more speed.
- Time your shield for danger. Its duration is limited, so activating too early can leave you exposed during an overtake.
- Drop slicks on a pursuer's line. A patch away from the useful racing route is easier to avoid.
- Practise with items disabled. Clear laps make it easier to compare times and judge an upgrade.

How to play
Controls
- Left/right arrows or A/D — steer. Acceleration and drifting through fast corners are automatic.
- Space — use your item; with an empty slot, activate nitro if enough charge is available.
- X — activate nitro independently of the item slot.
- Shift — brake.
- R — return to a checkpoint.
- Esc — open the pause menu.
- O — open settings.
On a phone or tablet, use the left-side steering arrows and the separate item, nitro and brake buttons on the right. Pause and return-to-track actions are available through the interface.
