Forest SprintAbout the games in this section
Platformers turn the journey to a goal into a sequence of jumps, ledges and landing spots. You choose where to land, avoid traps, collect items and deal with enemies along the way. This collection includes side-view adventures, three-dimensional courses and parkour climbs toward the top.
Some games let you explore at your own pace, while others demand careful timing. Pick a familiar character or try a new course: even a short gap becomes a different challenge when the platform on the other side moves or disappears.
Classic side-view platformers
In two-dimensional games, the route unfolds across the screen, making ledges, obstacles and approaching enemies easy to read. Moving quickly is only one option. Waiting for an opening can be more useful than charging ahead.
- Super Mario World combines jumping and coin collecting with a journey through green landscapes, caves and a castle. Choose it for an adventure that takes you through different kinds of terrain.
- Super Mario Scramble 2 features platform levels and turtles. Landing on an enemy from above awards points, so a jump can be both a way forward and an attack.
- Sonic mixes golden rings with a rolling dash. Try it if you enjoy choosing a route while keeping your character moving.
Three-dimensional parkour and vertical climbs
On a course with depth, judging the next landing takes more than checking its height. Look at the destination before jumping, then settle your view after landing.
- RoboLobo offers six vertical worlds, double jumps and sprinting. Moving and disappearing platforms change the pace, while checkpoints break each route into sections.
- Level Up: Sky Parkour has 66 stages with white checkpoint platforms, gaps, an elevator and a final staircase. Reaching the finish unlocks a hang-glider flight.
Three-dimensional scenery with a side-view route
Three-dimensional graphics do not always mean movement in every direction. A game can use models and scenery with depth while keeping its jumping route in a side-view plane.
- Adventure World 3D contains three worlds and 18 rooms across hills, caves and a fiery citadel. Collect coins, clear lava and traps, and defeat ordinary enemies by jumping on them from above.
Tips for difficult sections
- Choose a landing spot before taking off. A jump is easier to judge when you already know where it should end.
- Watch a moving platform complete a full cycle. This reveals when it comes close and how much time you have for the next move.
- Use checkpoints where the game provides them. They make it easier to practise a difficult section without repeating the whole route.
- Find a safe path through unfamiliar terrain first. Return for optional coins only when the particular game's rules allow it.
Platformer questions
What makes a game a platformer?
Traversing the environment is central: jumping between platforms, climbing ledges and landing accurately. Combat, collectibles and puzzles may add other challenges to that core loop.
Should I start with Mario or a parkour course?
Choose a Mario game for a side-view adventure through successive areas. Try one of the three-dimensional courses above if you prefer learning spatial jumps and making progress between checkpoints.
Where can I check the controls and game features?
Open “How to play” or “Game controls” on the individual game page. Keyboard controls, touch support, saving and multiplayer depend on the installed version; the collection does not share one universal set of features.
