Black Box

Introducing the online Flash puzzle game Black Box. Send light rays into the box to determine where hidden atoms are located. Click the dark-grey squares around the perimeter to launch a ray. A ray travels straight ahead. If it hits an atom directly, its result is shown as A, meaning absorption. If it passes through a cell next to an atom, it is deflected by 90 degrees and emerges at a point marked with the same number as its starting point: 1–1, then 2–2, and so on. If a ray cannot be clearly deflected, perhaps because of short distances or a symmetrical arrangement of atoms, or absorbed by an atom, it scatters and the letter R appears. After a few attempts, you will understand how it works and be able to mark hidden atoms based on your deductions. To restart the level, click reset.
